Nautilus-Actions 3.2.4 is out

We are pleased, happy and proud to announce the latest stable release of Nautilus-Actions!

What is it ?

Nautilus-Actions is a Nautilus extension whose principal function is to allow the user to add arbitrary actions to the file manager context menus. These actions may be organized in menus and submenus, exported and shared with other desktop environments.

What is new in this release ?

Nautilus-Actions 3.2.4 is mainly a bugfix release.

Some translations have been updated.

Please note that this release of Nautilus-Actions will be the last release with this name, as I plan to rename Nautilus-Actions to something like FileManager-Actions, and propose this application to other file managers (not limited to Nautilus-derived file managers).

Please also note that this release will also be the last which keeps to be compatible with Gtk+ 2 libraries. Next one will only target Gtk+ 3.

See NEWS and the full ChangeLog for all details.

Nautilus-Actions 3.2.4 may be built and has been thoroughly tested both against Gtk+ 2.0 (Ubuntu 10, Fedora 14) and Gtk+ 3.0 (Ubuntu 13, Fedora 19).

Some words about the 3.1/3.2 series

The first goal of Nautilus-Actions 3.1 serie is to migrate menus, actions and user preferences from GConf.

Compiling with GConf is now only required when we have menus, actions or user preferences to migrate to the new system. New users may just get rid of it.

Packagers and sysadmins should really read the README-GCONF file.

Some words about the 3.x serie

Please note that due to the renaming of some parameters, actions or menus created / updated with the versions 2.99.0 and later may not be fully compatible with Nautilus-Actions 2.30.x and earlier.
